Several staff members were particularly impressive, one sending out a ripped shirt for sewing, and the two guys on the night-shift were very helpful in sorting out a glitch in the booking that was my fault. The location is terrific, right outside a station for the skytrain that comes from the Bangkok side; also another train from that station goes to the famous ICON Siam mega-mall on the river's edge. There's a parking lot. The room itself was cozy without being tiny; kept very clean and stocked by diligent cleaners. I suggest you get a room in the top three levels to reduce noise from the busy road outside. The shower is good, staff will give out extra towels if requested. Air-con is good. There's free morning tea and coffee in the downstairs lobby until 11am. Also, some snacks and other drinks for sale. And the lobby is clean and bright. There's a lot of restaurants nearby, especially along Charoen Nakhon street. There's decent Western breakfast a 3-minute walk from the hotel heading toward the river in a charming restaurant. It's called Kafi Sathorn (open til 3pm). I've chosen this hotel for four of my Bangkok trips so far, and find it a good value overall. Functional, not romantic.

Hop Inn, that opened just last year is a very affordable and comfortable Bangkok stay with new facilities, fresh linens and towels, with new floorings and ceilings, walls. The room has a queen comfy bed with thick comforter and soft pillows. The skytrain Krung Thonburi station is just across the Inn. This feels like an upscale area with high end apts and offices around. Though there are small eateries offering super budget meals (specially in the morning til noon) for employees and residents and also 7 11 convenient stores nearby. You can reach the Icon Siam mall via a 30 minute walk from the Inn. Buses with different routes passes the Inn with a nearby bus stop too. I stayed at the 4th flr, and the courteous Cleaning lady staff does her work diligently every morning, should you wish your room made up. The private bathroom and the unit is spotlessly clean too. Wit, the polite and gregarious Head Staff at the lobby also heeded to my special request. It's safe and value worth to stay here. There are free Nestle coffee and hot chocolate at the vendo machine, until 11 in the morning at the grd floor. There are 2 complimentary Mineral waters too.

Location is brilliant, on the major Blue BTS line jst across the river from Bangkok and its very famous Saphan Taksin station from which tourists boats ply the Chao Phrya. It's quieter overall in the Thonburi neighbourhood where Hop Inn is. Terrific Thai food in restaurants on Charoen Nakhon Street a 5-10 minute walk away, and a Gold Line micro train right outside the door to take you to Icon Siam shopping centre on the river. Staff are eagerly helpful, but be aware that their English is not as strong as in the more expensive hotels.

The location is perfect for my needs, right on a major SkyTrain route but away from the chaos of the tourist traps in downtown Bangkok. In fact, the hotel is right outside the Krung Thonburi station. I recommend getting a room set back from the front in order to minimize road noise. All staff are helpful, the cleaning staff are excellent and will give you extra towels upon individual request. Free coffee downstairs before 11am. Instant noodle in Thai flavours available for a small price. Great value proposition overall.

The location was great and the room was very clean. Room has all the basic necessities. The location was good too. The hotel was just like it appeared in the pictures and descriptions, and it's a great value for the price. I didnt heard this hotel before ı come to bangkok since it's not a chain hotel in Europe, so I had some doubts. But I would recommend it to anyone reading this. It's like an equivalent to IBIS budget but at half the price.
